National Public Health Week is an initiative of the American Public Health Association (APHA). It is a week long promotional campaign highlighting the Generation Public Health movement. The goal of Generation Public Health is to create the world’s healthiest nation by 2030. Each day of the week focuses on a certain public health topic such as:

  • Behavioral health
  • Communicable diseases
  • Environmental health
  • Injury and violence prevention
  • Ensuring the right to health

Join us in observing NPHW 2018 and become part of a growing movement to create the healthiest nation in one generation. During the remainder of the week, we will celebrate the power of prevention, advocate for healthy and fair policies, share strategies for successful partnerships and champion the role of a strong public health system.
