The company said the investment will be used to move its operations from 14395 Bergen Blvd. to a new 137,000-square-foot manufacturing and headquarters facility nearby at the Saxony Corporate Campus near Interstate 69. Construction on the building is under way. Helmer, which this month started doing business under the name Helmer Scientific, has about 150 employees in Indiana. It is already hiring to fill engineering, manufacturing, marketing and sales positions. The Indiana Economic Development Corp. said it will provide Helmer up to $300,000 in performance-based tax credits. The city of Noblesville has approved additional property-tax abatements.
