Seeding Labs has been collecting scientific equipment donations for 10 years and donating it to talented scientists in developing countries to spearhead growth in solving challenges such as global disease, feeding growing populations, and protecting our planet. Donated equipment is used for research and training, and creates opportunities for scientists to network and collaborate with other researchers around the world.
As part of a 10th Anniversary Impact Update, Seeding Labs is releasing a series of posts aimed at providing visibility to the impact that the Seeding Labs Instrumental Access program has provided. Some of the notable accomplishments of the last 10 years include:
66 Instrumental Access Shipments delivered to talented scientists in 29 countries (40% in last two years)
59 Unique Research Projects advanced through receipt of scientific instruments
9000 Students received practical, hands-on training as part of 147 courses/subjects
$1.2M of new Funding secured for 19 new research applications
Helmer Scientific has been proud to support Seeding Labs as part of our “Chill the World” Generosity program. We have donated equipment over the past two years, and know that our cold storage equipment is being used at the Masinde Muliro University, as well as others, to help identify solutions to local and global problems around the world.
