These systems provide a temperature-controlled environment but tend to consume more energy than newer approaches. Technological advances have been developed that now make it possible to substantially reduce energy usage while at the same time achieving optimal temperature management. GX Solutions professional medical-grade refrigerators are available from Helmer Scientific, a leading supplier of cold storage and processing equipment. GX Solutions utilize OptiCool™ Technology and are available in upright and undercounter models. They are designed for critical healthcare applications and offer optimized control in temperature management (uniformity, recovery and stability) along with decreased energy consumption. Watch our video, “GX Solutions and Energy Savings,” for an overview of the cooling technology that makes these results possible, as well as information on the reduction in energy use that can be achieved by switching from conventional medical-grade refrigerators to GX Solutions. It also illustrates the impact of energy efficiency on cost of ownership and how facilities can save money and support sustainability.   [![Learn More »](https://no-cache.hubspot.com/cta/default/1862406/022d9aae-e830-4db5-9e08-ab417e31a324.png)](https://cta-redirect.hubspot.com/cta/redirect/1862406/022d9aae-e830-4db5-9e08-ab417e31a324) ##### Other Blogs You Might Be Interested In... - **[OptiCool™ Technology: Facts and Figures](https://blog.helmerinc.com/opticool-technology-facts-and-figures)** - **[OptiCool™ Technology Benefits Medical-grade Cold Storage in Helmer Scientific's GX Solutions](https://blog.helmerinc.com/opticool-technology-benefits-medical-grade-cold-storage)** - **[5 Fun Facts About Natural Hydrocarbon Refrigerants You Probably Didn’t Know](https://blog.helmerinc.com/5-fun-facts-about-natural-hydrocarbon-refrigerants-you-probably-didnt-know)** - **[GX Solutions: Why You Need Professional, Medical-grade Cold Storage](https://blog.helmerinc.com/gx-solutions-why-you-need-professional-medical-grade-cold-storage)**   ![Colleen Holtkamp](https://blog.helmerinc.com/hubfs/Blog/authors/ColleenHoltkamp.jpg) ### Written by [Colleen Holtkamp](https://blog.helmerinc.com/author/colleen-holtkamp) Helmer designs, manufactures, and markets specialized medical and laboratory equipment to customers in more than 125 countries.
