From the lab, to the pharmacy, there are various items that require refrigeration such as patient samples and medications, but lack of space makes it extremely difficult to use proper medical-grade refrigeration. Many areas end up using dormitory style refrigerators because they are unable to find medical-grade refrigeration that has a small enough footprint. Lisa Lambert, Lab Coordinator at Orlando Regional Medical Center was faced with this issue. She needed a small, compact refrigerator for her processing center where she was storing patient samples. The Helmer MLR102, countertop refrigerator was the perfect solution for providing refrigerated storage without taking up any floor space. Due to a small footprint, and minimal clearance requirements, the unit was able to be placed in the processing center making the storage location convenient and easy to access.
